About us

Airdynamics is a specialised (i.e. small!) kite design and manufacturing business based in Hereford, England. We make hand-built kites aimed at the discerning 'serious' kite flyer.

Airdynamics is run by me, Peter Taylor and my partner Valerie. We designed our first kite to fly pairs together, with no intention to make them commercially, but people kept asking for them and one thing leads to another...

So way back in 1989 we set up Airdynamics and released our first kite, the Dark Star. I've always designed kites primarily for me to fly and if other people like them it's a bonus, but I need to give special thanks to the legendary Ray Bethell, our friend and mentor for many years. Ray's encouragement made all the difference with the Dark Star and Ray continues to be an inspiration.

This is our back story of kites, roughly in cronological order.

Feedback

Hi Peter Small dragon kite has just been delivered and I wanted to tell you how absolutely delighted I am with this item. The box is gorgeous and the kite so beautiful. I am chuffed to bits - will gain a few brownie points with this gift for my boyfriend! Thank you Jaqui (Message by TXT)

Hi Peter, sorry it's taken so long to send you this. The kites are outstanding, love the graphics, build quality is outstanding and after a couple of test flights I can tell you they fit our requirements and flying style perfectly. We look forward to their first public outing. We have posted our first team practice on our Face Book Page Pallas Family Flyers and on YTube. Had a number of enquires about the kites, shared your web site with them, hope that's OK. Many thanks from the Pallas's

Thanks

Many people have helped us, but I need to make special thanks to the legendary Ray Bethell, our friend and mentor for many years. Ray's encouragement made all the difference with our first design, the Dark Star and Ray continues to be an inspiration.
